Dissertation: Pattern Discovery in
Spatial, Image, and Biological Data [abstract].
Experiences
Research
My research focuses on data mining and pattern discovery techniques and their applications
in spatial, image, and biological data. Topics I am especially interested in
include: preprocessing, noise removal, compression, clustering, pattern
identification, and related visualization and graph drawing techniques. Most of
my proposed techniques are implemented into FACADE, a novel clustering system that can discover implicit patterns in noisy environment efficiently, accurately, and automatically. Please click here to understand what I have done.
